Strategies at Work

Your child will not be bringing home a packet every time they bring their math facts folder.  Please work on the packet that was sent until a new packet comes home.  Only one packet will be sent for each strategy, but we work on that strategy for more than one week.  Please refer to the Strategies At Work section of the First Grade Information Packet if you have any other questions.

Thank you for continuing to practice these strategies and sign the math facts folders every Monday and Wednesday night.

Spelling

Monday- Trace, Copy, Check worksheet

Tuesday- Choosing one of the following activities: www.spellingcity.com, rainbow words, or body spelling.

Wednesday- Write 5 sentences using a spelling word in each one. (this will start in 3rd quarter)

Thursday- Spelling contract for free choice of activity to practice words
